How is The Music Industry Doing? More or Less

In an industry where 73% of independent musicians suffer from mental illness, More or Less with Jess provides bite sized 10 minute episodes begging the question: How are you feeling – more or less? These episodes spotlight the mental health of those transforming the industry while working behind the record. Listen to the transparent conversations about how people in music are actually feeling and what they’re doing to support each other. So far, this podcast is far from the average wellness podcast, consider it a mix of a Ted Talk and the biz Candid trials and tribulations.

Jessica McDevitt, the founder and host of More or Less, is a 22 year-old self-proclaimed tumbler enthusiast. After working with The Recording Academy/GRAMMYs she has a long and impressive rap sheet, particularly being chosen as a Forbes 30 under 30 scholar. Over the past six years she has been consulting & project managing for local NYC and national non-profits focused on mental health including Sound Mind, Silence the Shame, and more. Taking time to step back from all of these accomplishments she decided to turn all her passions into a podcast.

With artists becoming more candid with their mental health in interviews, media and music it changes how everyone operates. Stepping away from the stigma creates a new manner of conducting themselves in the eye of the public as they become less censored. Jessica wants to understand what their teams are doing to navigate those feelings and what that looks like with their campaigns.

This podcast focuses on “Disrupting the noise and tuning into you” to do something out of the ordinary in this industry - pausing the music to spotlight those transforming the industry behind the record. Raise your volume on these important conversations with entertainment’s greatest trailblazers.
